| I don't know how it happened. One day while I was sleeping I felt this tug tug tug and my nose starting growing - longer and longer and longer. I didn't even tell any lies - it just happened. And then a tug tug tug and my ears started standing straight up! Some people say that I look ridiculous but Momma says that it's just that awkward adolescence that I'm having. She says that I'll grow into these ears. But somehow I'm not a Golden Retriever anymore. Mom & Dad still love me though. | ||||||||||||||

| Here I am again. I haven't quite grown into my ears yet. I am rather beautiful in a non-Golden Retriever sort of way - don't you think? I still love to chase golf balls and I'm getting better at bringing them back now! I love to chase cats too but that gets me into some trouble. | ||||||||||||||
| Molly McButter March 4, 1999 - December 19, 1999 My precious blonde party girl died suddenly on Sunday, December 19. She had been diagnosed with Severe Subvalvular Aortic Stenosis as a little puppy. We knew that the odds of her long-term survival were slim but we wanted to give her a chance. The few months we had with her were wonderful ones. She was the most joyful and loving dog and we will always remember her. The people we purchased Molly from have refused to have her mother spayed even when I showed them the medical report indicating that Molly's heart condition was congenital. I beg anyone reading this that is considering breeding their dog to check for any genetic problems before breeding to save someone else the heartache that we are facing now. Puppies are wonderful things - but people need to avoid indiscriminate breeding - please spay and neuter your pets. Postscript - One year to the day of Molly's death, her brother Mo died of the same condition only his had not been diagnosed previous to his death. I can only think that the two of them are together again. |
